Are you a dedicated student in a clinical psychology program with a specific interest in neuropsychology and looking to develop your assessment skills? Have you completed coursework in psychological and/or neuropsychological assessment? The Ekdom Neuropsychology Group is thrilled to offer training opportunities that can prepare you for a successful career in this field.
About Us
Our practice specializes in the assessment, diagnosis, and consultation for the treatment of children, adolescents, and adults, with the goal of evaluating cognitive strengths and weaknesses. We offer comprehensive, individualized neuropsychological assessments, providing careful interpretation of results and tailored recommendations to help clients gain the most benefit from their evaluation. We also work closely with referring providers to ensure a coordinated and thorough treatment plan.
Why Choose Us?
At the Ekdom Neuropsychology Group, we pride ourselves on providing a supportive and enriching environment for our trainees. Our site serves a diverse population, with a focus on clinical neuropsychology (child and adult). You will gain invaluable experience working with a wide range of conditions as the majority of our patients present with complex neurological and developmental conditions.
Training Opportunities
The externship spans a full year (12 months) and requires a commitment of 16 hours per week. A limited number of positions are also available for a shorter, summer-only externship. We generally accept four students per year—two for the adult track and two for the child track. Students interested in the adult track must be available on Wednesdays and Fridays, while those applying for the child track should be available on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays. The required work hours are 9am to 5pm.
