Exciting News: We Now Offer Talk Therapy Services!

At the Ekdom Neuropsychology Group, we are constantly evolving to meet the needs of the individuals and families we serve. After many years of exclusively offering neuropsychological assessment services, we are excited to announce the addition of talk therapy services to our practice! This new offering reflects our commitment to providing comprehensive care—not only helping individuals understand their cognitive, emotional, and behavioral challenges through assessments but also supporting them in addressing these challenges through evidence-based therapy.

Why Talk Therapy?

Talk therapy is a powerful tool for fostering growth, managing challenges, and improving overall well-being. For individuals who come to our practice for neuropsychological evaluations, therapy offers several distinct benefits:

  1. Support After Diagnosis: Receiving a diagnosis or learning about areas of difficulty through an evaluation can be overwhelming. Talk therapy provides a safe space to process these findings, build self-awareness, and develop strategies for moving forward.
  2. Personalized Guidance: Therapy can help individuals and families create actionable plans for addressing challenges revealed during the assessment process, whether related to ADHD, autism, learning disorders, anxiety, or other areas.
  3. Emotional Resilience: Many individuals face stress, frustration, or self-esteem challenges related to their cognitive or emotional difficulties. Therapy helps build coping skills, enhance self-confidence, and foster resilience.
  4. Holistic Care: Combining neuropsychological evaluations with therapy ensures that individuals receive both insight into their challenges and ongoing support to address them, creating a seamless continuum of care.

Who Can Benefit?

At this time, our therapy services are designed for adolescents and adults who are navigating challenges such as:

  • Anxiety, Depression, and Emotional Regulation Challenges
  • Life Transitions
  • Self Esteem Concerns
  • Interpersonal Difficulties (e.g., family and relationship conflicts)
  • ADHD and Executive Functioning Difficulties
  • Adjustment to a New Diagnosis or Life Circumstances

We also offer therapy for parents and caregivers, helping them build the skills and confidence to support their loved ones effectively.

A Team You Can Trust

Our therapist works closely with the rest of our team to ensure that the therapeutic process is informed by a deep understanding of each individual's unique strength and weaknesses. Whether you are coming to us for an evaluation, therapy, or both, our team is here to provide compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to you.

If you’re interested in exploring how talk therapy can help you or your family, we’re here for you. Contact us today to learn more about this new service or to schedule an appointment. Together, we’ll work toward achieving greater clarity, confidence, and well-being.
