Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE)
An Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) is an assessment conducted by a qualified professional who is not employed by the school district responsible for the child's education. Parents typically request an IEE if they disagree with the results of the school's evaluation of their child.
The purpose of an IEE is to provide a second opinion regarding the child's educational needs, strengths, and areas requiring support, which can inform decisions about special education services and accommodations. We are happy to be contracted IEE providers with numerous school districts across the DMV area.
